Tom Cruise Can Make You Money.

Gawker.com has made leaps and bounds in audience growth, which may or may not translate to revenue boosting, thanks to their refusal to remove the now famous Tom Cruise Scientology video. If you haven’t seen it, it’s still available here, though most hosts are removing the video after requests and legal threats from the “church” of scientology.

It’s a freakshow. I can imagine that you could create any so-called “religion” based on the precepts of pumping up egos and claiming to be the best-of-the-best of all humanity. You could call it the Church of Awesome, or iChurch if you’re a disciple of the new Jesus Steve Jobs. All you have to do then to inflate the egos of your “followers” is talk about how YOU are the best, and by repeatedly stating that the world would be fucked if it wasn’t for YOUR supremacy. If anyone was any more self-righteous than these pricks I’d seriously start to consider a Kevorkian approach to dealing with the problem. There’s a common phrase that comes to mind when watching this video: GET OVER YOURSELF!!

On a side note, I’m seriously starting to think that Hitler was a scientologist.
